2018 02 27 Snow, Fixtures, Shade Prep ..
There was some snow over the last 48 hours, 9-12" in Truckee, 1-2" in Reno area. Snow level was down to 4000 feet, so there was snow in downtown Reno.
Electricians are continuing to install fixtures, work on the "shade pockets" has started. These are black metal enclosures that hide the roller shades that will be in all the large windows on the east, south, and west side of the house.
Plumbing and HVAC work continues, but no photos today.

2018 02 23 Gabion Walls, Counters, Paint, Garage Door ..
The only unfinished stone wall is behind the solar panels, and it looks like that will be done soon.
More counters have been installed, painting continues, and the garage door has it's metal skin.
Next two are living space, fireplace, kitchen island in progress.

2018 02 15 A Beautiful Day ..
Not much new going on, but it was a beautiful very clear day.
2018 02 14 Paint, Electric, Gabion walls, Underneath, Cleaning ..
Mostly the same as yesterday, except the tile crew is not working, waiting for more cleaning. It's amazing how much dust and sawdust is on everything.
Gabion walls continue, electricians continue to put up fixtures. The house is on "normal" NVE power meter now, so quite a few outlets are powered.

Two shots of the ground source heat pump "stuff".
The GSHP circulation leaves the house in the corner, right above the foudation. The copper tubing is not completely connecter yet. The 12 "wells" for the GSHP were just about the first thing done on site. (They are each 300 feet deep. In a less rocky situation they could be laid out horizontally, in trenches.)

I never get tired of this shot, seeing the mountains and sky reflected in the windows. The siding has been rusting for about 8 months now.
Light fixtures in garage! There will be some cabinetry under those hanging lights.

2018 02 13 Paint, Tile, Electric, Cleaning ..
Painting actually began a few weeks ago, and at this point almost essentially all of the house is primed, and some has finish paint. Tile work in the baths continues, electrical work continues. The house is extremely dusty from all the sheetrock and cedar ceiling work. All of the glass is extremely dirty. A crew will be in for the next few days to clean thouse from top to bottom.

2018 02 09 Gabion Walls, Sheetrock, Tile, Underneath ..
Gabion walls progress, sheetrock work is almost done, tile work progress in baths, and some more shots of all the systems under the floor..
Kitchen area. Kitchen island/counter ends at the fireplace block, about where the trashcan is now. The lower part of the floor will be concrete.

The two pumps for the ground source heat pump system will be in the open space to the left of the red valve assembly. These pumps will move the fluid that does the heat transfer in the heat pump. All of the copper pipe is part of that closed system.
