Nevada house build starts ..

Sharon and I are building a house in Washoe County, Nevada, just outside Reno.  It is at the far eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada foothills, at about 4900 feet.  It is a beautiful high desert environment.  

We bought the property in mid 2014.  I found our architect many years ago and made initial contact with them at the time.   We started design work about two years ago.  This is the structure that caught my eye at the time.  It had been completed not too long before I saw it.

I will be posting here from time to time with photos and notes about our progress.  I hope we are done at the end of 2016 or in very early 2017.
