2018 03 30 Gabion Walls Done, Fixtures, Tile, Deck Tile, More ..
The gabion walls are now done, and they look great. One of these walls is just behind (north) of the solar array, so work on that can begin soon.
Deck tile has arrived and work will begin on that soon.
Inside, light fixtures are going in, and although most of the lighting controls are not in, some of the lights are switchable and can be seen. I will go to the house at dusk one day next week.
Most of the bath tile is done.
The water pressure tank is in, and the well technician will work with the plumber to get the water on very soon. The ground source heat pump system will be "charged" soon.
First three photos show lights going into the main living space. The kitchen island has been faced with the same steel used on the exterior.
Some of the deck tile placed near the pool. Pool guys have resumed their work.
Three photos of "her" bath. Tile work is done.
Next two show the aluminum shoe that will hold the glass rail on the east deck.
Next two show solar field to the west of the house. Wall is done! Pile of stuff is solar panels and some of the frames for them.
More "stuff" under the house. First is pressure tank next to the well pipe.
All the pretty copper GSHP plumbing has been insulated.
Some of the lighting control was brought down here.

2018 03 07 Less Mud, Lights, Cabinets, Shades, Gabion Wall, Shadows ..
2018 03 07 Less Mud, Lights, Cabinets, Shades, Gabion Wall, Shadows ..
Warmer weather and sun means the site is drying out. Some.
Work continues on installing light fixtures, cabinetry, and building the last gabion wall.
Boxes and boxes of lights, most hidden away:
Some on the tracks or in the ceiling already.
Some of the cabinets.
Taken at the top of a very tall ladder. Installing shade "pockets", which hide the roller shades when they are up.
Last gabion wall proceeds..
Some interesting shadows and light on the south side of the house:

2018 03 06 Mud, Lights, Tile, Cabinets, Gabion Wall ..
2018 03 06 Mud, Lights, Tile, Cabinets, Gabion Wall ..
Warmer temperatures mean all the snow is going to water, therefore mud. It's a mess.
Light fixtures are being installed, tile work proceeds in baths, the cabinet maker showed up with a lot of cabinets, and the remaining gabion wall is getting closer to completion.
Heads going on to some of the tracks. This one will have more. I'm glad everything in the house will be LED. I don't want to go up there to be changing anything..
I like the way the exterior is weathering.
Guest bath tile.
A load of cabinets shows up.
Mud. A lot of mud.
The last gabion wall to complete. This is looking SE. The wall will be on the north side of the solar array.
More mud.

The storm that went through over the last 4 days left 4 feet of snow at 6800 feet in Truckee, more higher up, and maybe 6" at the house.
Here are some photos of the snow two days after it all ended, and work on the shades, tile, and light fixtures.
The snow will last the longest on the northeast side of the house:
Installing the "pockets" that will hide the roller shades:
Tile:
Some of the light tracks can be seen here:

2018 02 28 Light Fixtures, Underneath, Storm Coming ..
2018 02 28 Light Fixtures, Underneath, Storm Coming ..
Not too many photos today, but more light fixtures installed, more work on shade pockets, a few photos of progress under the house, and a storm is coming.
First two photos are of the center of the ground source heat pump circulation. First, where it comes into the house, second the pumps.
Light fixtures. Small..
Fireplace hearth on south side.
Some of the cloud ahead of the coming storm. 2-5 feet of snow predicted about 7000 ft, 1-2 ft down to and below 6000 ft.
