More progress on the glass install, more progress on the gabion walls on the north side of the house.
First two are living area from inside and out. Next are windows along bath and laundry area. Fourth window shot is looking through one of the "bridges". Fifth window shot is looking through living area from north to south.

First two shots are studio, next is guest room, last two are bedroom on east end of house.

First three are in the studio area, last shot is just to the east of main living area. (The areas painted black will have a continuous aluminum grate covering the heating vents, which are the long narrow openings.)

More window progress, first two are on east (bedroom) end of house. Second two are on the south side of house where some of the relatively smaller casements are being installed.

2017 04 04 Insulation, Glass ..
First two shots are the first rolling door / fixed door combination that was installed. The windows look fairly dark from the outside but have only a very faint tint from the inside. In the second shot there are two glass panels on the left and then an open space with no glass to the right. Hard to tell the difference. All of the windows are two panes of 1/4" glass separated by about 1/2". One has a UV coating, the other has a coating to increase the "R" value of the pane.
I learned a little about glass, and learned how little I know. The technology to make large "perfect" panes of glass is relatively recent, and a very interesting process.
The last shot is more insulation work.

Many more of the large doors and related fixed windows arrive.
There are a couple of shots of the floor being prepared for the rolling door frames. The floor under those rolling doors has to be level and flat. One of the installers told me that the smallest bump will be felt through the frame when the door is moved.
And one last shot of the weather, which is great theater.
