More vertical steel work today. The steel subcontractor is "Vertical Iron", which is a great name.
The little boxy structures at the top and floor level of the steel columns are called "buckets". Wood beams are bolted into them and will hold the roof and floor. The metal flanges about 10 feet above floor level attach the "wind girt". This steel structure rings the house and is there to strengthen the house against high wind.
